About

Well, HEY THERE!

My artist name is Jenivieve. I am married to the love of my life, and I live in Oregon where I enjoy hiking all over the inspirational Pacific Northwest when my fibromyalgia permits me. I'm always looking for ways to combine my favorite mediums. My love for miniature art, nature, and sparkles have been the constant and recurrent themes in my creative life.

I create one-of-a-kind original Art Card Editions and Originals (ACEOs) and Artist Trading Cards (ATCs). The ACEO/ATC format is 2.5" x 3.5" (baseball card size) and collectible to the point of being addictive (reference: my overflowing personal art card collection, lol).

The primary difference between ACEO and ATC is:

  • ACEO are sold
  • ATC are traded

Why so sparkly?!

I am neurodivergent, and I recently realized that my life-long urge to stare at sparkles is actually what you call a "visual stim." Stimming takes on a variety of forms, based on what each person's brain is attracted to. I was enamored with sparkles from my childhood -- I stared at gold-sequined high heels, jewelry, beads, my sister's "Lil Miss Magic Jewels" (Mattel), glitter gel pens, prisms, and the list goes on.

For me, visual stimming gives my busy brain a shot of instant dopamine as I watch the way the light glints and dashes from a sparkly surface. I keep several of my most sparkly art cards on my desk, so I can pick them up and get re-energized in moments when my concentration and focus are waning. Visual stimming also helps to relieve my stress, shifts my brain into a better place, and distracts me when I need it.

I love connecting with fellow neurodivergents and glitter lovers and providing a source of visually stimulating sparkle and delight. 🥰

Reasons I love the ACEO/ACT format

  • When you hold an ACEO or ATC, it feels like you are holding a little treasure ♥︎
  • They are affordable (or even tradeable), and make it possible for me to own original art from some of my favorite artists (whose larger works might be outside of my budget).

  • They take up hardly any space - I keep mine in a 3-ring binder using baseball card protector sheets.

  • They satisfy my completionist's need to finish my art and admire it.
